1948 Buescher 400 Top Hat and Cane Tenor Saxophone, 97% Original Lacquer
1948 319,xxx Buescher Top Hat and Cane tenor saxophone with approximately 97% original lacquer. This is an early TH&C tenor, made just after the Aristocrat Big B model. This is an incredible tenor saxophone, and for many, the best American saxophone ever made. The sax just received a full mechanical overhaul from Eric Beach, who is one of the best in the business. For this one, he was able to preserve the original domed metal resonators, while using modern pads. This is the best of both worlds in my opinion, as there is no squishiness that snap-in pads can sometimes give you. The sax still has its original set of Norton gold springs.
