1958 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 77935. Here's a great playing 5-digit Mark VI tenor that just received a full mechanical overhaul from Aaron Barnard. He used Pisoni Pro pads and reusable brass TM resonators. Aaron's attention to detail is what sets his shop apart. His key fitting is expertly executed, and this horn arguably feels better to play than the day it left the factory. The neck is original to the horn and has a matching serial number.

This sax arrived from its previous longtime owner with an old coat of non-original lacquer. I had the sax shipped to Indiana to have the engraving recut and then onto Aaron's shop for his bare naked overhaul. Aaron chemically strips any remaining lacquer and then hand polishes the horn before starting the rest of the overhaul process. This process is labor intensive and expensive, but the results are worth it. It's a great looking unlacquered sax that although is somewhat shiny now, will continue to age and develop its own unique patina.
