1960 Buffet Crampon R13 Clarinet, Fresh Overhaul
Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet, s/n F63800. This clarinet just received a full mechanical overhaul prior to sale, so all the pads, corks and felts are new. The F prefix means that the clarinet is designed to play in tune at A=442 instead of A=440, which for many is an advantage since many orchestras and bands play at the higher pitch center. The clarinet also has a Boehm style C#/G# tone hole placement in the upper joint tenon, which is an acoustically ideal placement. This helps this note with pitch and response, which is typically a dead sounding note on most clarinets. The clarinet has no cracks and comes in the original case. This is a fantastic vintage for R13 clarinets.
