1962 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 100421. Here's a remarkably preserved, near mint condition vintage Mark VI tenor just a few hundred horns away from five digit territory. The sax has its original coat of lacquer and 99.9%+ remains. The neck is original to the horn and has a matching serial number. It has never been bent down. There are no resoldered joints. The sax comes in its original case. 

This sax recently arrived from the original owner who played it sparingly for a couple of years before being put away for the next few decades. It still has all original pads and reusable plastic resonators. The sax is currently receiving a full mechanical overhaul from Eric Beach and will be ready to ship in early December. The price includes the cost of the overhaul.

1962 Mark VI tenors have always been a desirable vintage, but became more so when Chris Potter bought his Mark VI tenor that he currently plays on (his was made only a few months before this one). Selmer modified their design significantly around 105,xxx, so this is essentially a 5-digit tenor design, as it has the same neck and body design of 9x,xxx tenors.
