1963 Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone, 108,xxx
1963 108,xxx Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone. This is a fantastic playing Mark VI with a large, rich sound that speaks very well in all registers. It has the feel of an earlier 5 digit tenor, in both sound and response. The finish is not original on this horn, but as you can see in the pictures, the detail in the engraving is all present. It appears as if some dents were taken out of the bow previously around the C and Eb key guards. The neck is original to the horn and has a matching serial number. It previously had a microphone pickup, which has been removed and patched. The sax comes in a contoured ProTec case in excellent condition. This is a great playing horn, despite not having its original finish. I guess this should come as no surprise since this is a super s/n range.
