1965 King Silversonic Super 20 Tenor Saxophone, Cleveland, Video

1965 King Silversonic Super 20 tenor saxophone, s/n 415159. This sax received an overhaul from its previous owner and was subsequently played very little afterward. The pads are still in like new condition and seal well. It has red pads with Noyek style resonators. The sound is big and lush, with a huge low end.

This sax was made in Cleveland near the end of King’s Cleveland production, before production moved to Eastlake, Ohio. The Cleveland made Super 20s is generally the most sought after version, and they have a strong reputation for their build quality and playability. This one is a Silversonic, the upgraded version of the Super 20, with a sterling silver neck and bell. The sax comes in a Saxpack case.
