1968 Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone, Original Lacquer, Overhaul
1968 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, s/n 162206. This sax has its original lacquer, and approximately 75% is present. The sax was just overhauled prior to sale by Kessler and Sons. The pads appear to be Pisoni Pro and have domed metal resonators. The sax comes in the original case, which is in good condition.
This horn is from a great vintage, shortly after Selmer switched to the medium bow design. Most players agree that Selmer's medium bow offers the best combination of great sound and excellent intonation. This horn really delivers. It has incredible energy and projection, and feels incredibly locked in from low Bb to high F.
