201,xxx Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone, Original Lacquer, Just Serviced, Video
Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, s/n 201511. This sax was just serviced by my repairman prior to sale. The pads were recently all replaced by the previous owner and are still in like new condition. The sax has original lacquer. The neck is also original and has never been bent down. This sax likely spent most of its life along the coast, which likely caused the lacquer to look like this. It's still mostly intact and of course doesn't affect how the horn plays. Physically, the sax is in good shape, except an area near the tip of the top of the bell that has previously been repaired for a crack. My repairman looked over this area and thought that the repair was done well. The sax comes in a vintage Selmer flight case.
Despite the looks, this horn truly delivers. It has an incredible sound and presence that is complex and projects. I can get around in all registers with ease.
