1951 46,xxx Selmer Super Balanced Action Alto Saxophone SBA with approxomately 85% original lacquer. SBA saxophones with original lacquer have become very rare, and when fixed up, are absolutely incredible playing horns. They have a singing quality that is not matched by anything else out there. The neck is original to the sax and has a matching serial number. The sax will come in a generic case. Or if you like, I can ship it in the original Selmer Tripak Chesterfield case that is in incredible condition, although the zippers don't work at all. They will have to be repaired before use. Please message me if you'd prefer the Chesterfield case and I would be happy to ship it in that.
We are currently very backed up with overhauls, so this sax is being sold as is for a great price. This sax will need an overhaul before it's ready for use. The pads are old and are not sealing. There are many original metal resonators, but it's not a full set. Also, please notice that the alt F# key guard and clothes guard are missing, and the low Eb key guard came unsoldered. There are some dents here and the bell flare needs to be adjusted. These are all things that a competent repairman will be able to sort out.
