1955 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone with approximately 97% original lacquer, s/n 60,xxx. This horn spent decades in its case, unplayed until about 18 months ago when the daughter of the original owner decided to sell it. The horn was taken to Michael Manning for a full overhaul. He is one of the best sax repairmen out there and he only uses top of the line materials. He used black roo pads and rivetless metal resonators for the overhaul. The sax comes in its original Chesterfield case, which is in good overall condition. Both zippers function perfectly.

Physically, the horn is in absolutely amazing shape. The usual contact points have extremely little lacquer wear, indicative of very little use. The action feels tight and there are no signs of any previous repairs or trauma. The color is quite striking - I would call it a deep golden carmel color. The neck is in perfect condition and is original to the horn. It has a matching serial number.

The horn is very fun to play. It's even from top to bottom and extremely responsive.
