85,xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor, Video, Overhaul, Brecker S/N
1960 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 85961. This sax just received a full mechanical overhaul from Eric Beach, who does fantastic repair work. He installed Pisoni Pro pads and domed rivetless metal resonators, similar in profile to the 5-digit Selmer metal resonators of this vintage. The sax was chemically stripped of its lacquer during the overhaul process and is now bare brass. The lacquer that was stripped likely wasn't original. The neck is original to the horn and has a matching serial number. I sent it out to Aaron Barnard to install a flush mount patch where a mic pickup was previously installed. Aaron does incredible work on necks, so as you can see in the pictures, the patch is barely noticeable. The sax comes in a ProTec case.
