1960 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, s/n 89611. This sax has its original coat of lacquer with approximately 95% remaining. My tech just serviced the horn. He regulated the pads, replaced 6 key corks, thoroughly cleaned the horn and resoldered a key guard flange. The neck has a matching serial number and has never been pulled down. The sax comes in a new Bam Cabine Panther Case, which retails for $400+.
I love this Mark VI saxophone. It has an uncommonly great intensity and sonic focus. This is a hard one to put down given how fun it is to play. The sax definitely has a 5-digit vibe to it, with a beautiful dark sound, but there is more power in the sound than just about any other Mark VI I've tried. Highly recommended!
