Cannonball Big Bell Stone Series B5 Baritone Saxophone Raven, Low A, Near Mint

Cannonball B5 baritone saxophone, s/n 179583. This sax has the Raven finish, which Cannonball calls an iced black-nickel body with polished black-nickel keys. The keys and body are the same color, but the polished keys really stand out against the matte body. The pads are also black, which gives the sax a striking look.

I acquired this sax from the original owner, who kept this horn in amazing condition. It looks like it was only played a handful of times. The pads are in new condition and seal well.

This sax is keyed down to a low A, which is a must for many baritone players needing the extra range. The low A pops out easily and the horn has a big sound.

It comes with two necks, one in the Raven finish to match the body and one in silver plate. The two necks give you two different sounds. The silver plated neck is a little brighter with more ring, and the Raven neck is darker and mellower.

New pro baris have gotten very expensive, with most of them now running $10,000 or more. This one gets you a professional low A bari in near mint condition for a lot less than that.
