How to sell your saxophone See the tenors in stockIshimori Woodstone tenor saxophone, s/n 0294. This sax has a big, lush sound reminiscent of a Selmer SBA, but with more energy and projection. The response is even from low Bb to altissimo, and the horn feels smooth and comfortable under the fingers.
The pads are in excellent shape with plenty of life remaining. The neck is original to the horn and has never been pulled down. There are no dings or dents anywhere on the horn, and overall it’s in great condition both cosmetically and mechanically.
The unlacquered finish gives the horn a resonant, open feel, and it projects easily without losing warmth in the sound. Intonation is solid throughout, and the keywork is precise and well-balanced.
Ishimori is a respected saxophone maker in Japan, known for meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail. Their Woodstone series has earned a reputation among professional players for combining the tonal complexity of vintage horns with the reliability and ergonomics of a modern design.
