How to sell your saxophone See the tenors in stock1966 King Super 20 Tenor Saxophone, S/N 423661. This is a late Series IV King Super 20 tenor saxophone—one of the final few thousand made in Cleveland before production moved to Eastlake, Ohio following the company’s sale. The Cleveland-made horns are widely regarded for their superior craftsmanship and playability.
This horn features a sterling silver neck with a single socket design, which generally provides greater power and projection than the earlier double socket versions.
It was recently serviced by my technician, who adjusted the pads for a solid seal. The horn responds effortlessly throughout the full range, down to low Bb. The pads are still in new condition, having been replaced by the previous owner shortly before I acquired it. It also has flat metal riveted resonators, consistent with the original factory spec. The sax likely doesn't have its original lacquer. It comes in a vintage Selmer case that fits the horn well.
