1967 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, s/n 140511. Here's a gorgeous original lacquer Mark VI alto with 99%+ of the lacquer still present. Selmer experimented with alto bow lengths over the years, eventually settling on a medium bow shortly before this sax was made. The medium bow design offers the best combination of intonation, power, and responsiveness. Greats including Kenny Garrett and David Sanborn are known for playing Mark VI altos in the 140,xxx serial number range.

This sax was just serviced in July 2026. A handful of pads were replaced and the rest were regulated, so the horn seals very well. The neck is original and has never been bent down. There are no resolders. The sax comes in its original case, which is also in great condition.
