Selmer Mark VI soprano saxophone, s/n 251218. This is one of the very best playing and sounding Mark VI sopranos that has come through the shop. The sax plays evenly and responsively with a very full sound that is on the dark side of the spectrum for a Mark VI. I really like this horn, and think that it can stand up to just about any other Mark VI soprano out there.
The sax was just serviced by my repairman prior to sale. The previous owner replaced all of the pads, which are on the older side but are still in good condition and have a lot of life left. The sax comes in the original case. The lacquer is original. This horn has an optional high F# key, which for many saxophonists (including myself) is a must.
