Selmer Mark VII Alto Saxophone, 99% Original Lacquer, Just Serviced, Video
Selmer Mark VII alto saxophone, s/n 292051. Although this model is somewhat overlooked compared to a Mark VI, just take a listen to Immanuel Wilkins to realize how special these horns can be. They have an unmistakable vintage Selmer sound, and can often be found for a fraction of the price of a Mark VI.
This one is in excellent original condition. The lacquer is original and over 99% remains. The neck is original to the horn and has never been pulled down. There was some minor dentwork performed on the bell and the low Eb key guard flange appears to have been resoldered. Otherwise, the horn is very clean. Most of the pads are original but seal well. My tech just serviced the sax, replacing the neck cork, one pad and regulating the rest. The sax comes in its original case which is also in great condition.
