Selmer Series II Alto Saxophone, Just Serviced
1987 Selmer Series II alto saxophone, s/n 394288. This is an early Series II, made in just the second year of this model's production. Despite its age, the saxophone could almost pass for new. There are very few scratches and zero dents. The pads are still in excellent condition and don't show much wear. My tech just serviced the sax, so it feels incredibly locked in and even in all registers. The low notes whisper out without effort.
This is a gorgeous sounding Series II alto. The tone is dark and rich, but still incredibly resonant. I'm seriously impressed with this sax, and I would put it up against any modern Selmer including the Supreme.
