Selmer Series II alto saxophone, s/n 538633. This is Selmer's top of the line professional saxophone. This model has been in production for over 30 years, making it the longest lived model Selmer has ever produced. This sax was just serviced by my repairman, and it plays incredibly well from top to bottom. The sound is gorgeous, with warmth and evenness in all registers. Altissimo pops out easily, as well as the low range down to low Bb. There are no resoldered posts. The bow has some evidence of dentwork, but otherwise I don't see any other areas on the horn with dings or dents. The sax comes in a hard contoured case.
