Selmer Series III alto saxophone, s/n 611055. Here's a Series III in outstanding condition. The pads are in excellent condition and have a ton of life left, as you'd expect with a modern Selmer such as this one. My tech just went through the horn, so it's perfectly regulated and speaking effortlessly in all registers.
The Series III has an extra vent for middle C#, which brings the pitch up without having to rely on awkward fingerings. This is a huge upgrade, and I hope more saxophone manufacturers will incorporate this feature into their horns in the future. The sax is incredibly even throughout all registers and feels very efficient. Intonation is excellent. I really like the Series III, and I played on this model exclusively for ten years. If you're considering buying a new Selmer, save 50% and buy this one instead.
