How to sell your saxophone See the sopranos in stockSelmer Series III soprano saxophone, s/n 719220. This sax is in fantastic condition and has been impeccably maintained. It was previously owned by a retired US Naval Academy Band saxophonist. The pads are in excellent condition and seal well.
The Series III soprano is keyed to high G, an increasingly important feature for players working in quartet and chamber music settings. Modern soprano repertoire regularly extends beyond high F#, so having the high G key is particularly useful for professionals and advanced students.
Selmer also updated the Series III soprano neck design by adding a booster inside the neck tenon. I find the later necks with this design respond a little more easily, especially in the lower register. Both necks included with this sax have the updated design.
