Selmer Series III Tenor Saxophone, Just Serviced, New Bam Case
Selmer Series III tenor saxophone, s/n 700818. This saxophone dates to approximately 2005, and was just serviced by my tech prior to sale. He replaced the low Eb pad, 4 key corks and the neck cork. He also meticulously cleaned the body and mechanism of the horn. This is an excellent playing Series III that captures the essence of this model . The design of this tenor is quite similar to a Mark VI. It has the same body tube and a very similar neck profile, but with a larger bell. It has incredibly even timbre and response, and is capable of producing a tremendously large dynamic range. I've played this model professionally for five years and love its versatility and timbre.
Cosmetically, the finish has oxidized a fair amount, which happens even with modern Selmers. My tech performed some dentwork mainly on the bow. The sax comes in a brand new Bam Cabine case with the Panther finish. This is my favorite case on the market and retails for over $400.
