Selmer Super Action Series II Alto Saxophone with Silver Keys
Selmer Super Action Series II alto saxophone with a gold lacquer finish and silver keys. This is a top of the line Selmer alto saxophone, which is the most popular professional model being played today. The combination of a lacquered body with silver keys is extremely rare, and as far as I know, no longer available.
This has a slightly darker, rounder core to the sound than the typical lacquered Series II, possibly due to the silver keys. It has a very nice, even response from top to bottom. The horn was just in the shop and had 14 pads replaced. Everything feels great now, and low Bb to high F# are speaking effortlessly. There are scratches in the typical contact ares (bow, neck strap ring area, etc.) Please see pictures for more detail. The bow had a minor dent removed. The neck shows some lacquer loss, but the neck itself is structurally perfect and has never been dented. The sax comes in a generic case, but the case cover is a like-new leather Selmer Vanguard cover, which the case fits into quite well.
