Selmer Mark VI soprano saxophone, s/n 197285. Here's a gorgeous Mark VI with its original silver plating. Silver plated horns typically have a darker tone than their gold brass counterparts. This is a great combination for Mark VI sopranos, which can be quite bright. The tone on this one is gorgeous. It still has a Mark VI core with incredible projection and tone, but the tone is a bit more broad and dark by comparison.
My repairman just serviced the horn prior to sale. He replaced one pad, 12 key corks and 4 felts. The pads are mostly older but should last a long time. They are sealing very well and the horn plays effortlessly in all registers. The sax comes in the original case.
