Woodwind Co meliphone special K5* tenor saxophone mouthpiece. This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. The table, tip and rails look flawless. The facing is original and the tip opening measures .075".

This mouthpiece looks remarkably similar to an Otto Link reso chamber that I also have listed. The profile is almost identical to to the Reso, which makes me wonder if these mouthpieces were made from the same blanks. Both companies were located in New York, just a few blocks away from each other. Inside, they are quite different. The Meliphone Special has straight side walls and a rectangular chamber. Feel free to listen to both videos to compare the sound of each mouthpiece. This mouthpiece already plays great as-is, but I also think it has the potential to be an outstanding playing mouthpiece when it's opened up to your desired tip opening.
