How to sell your saxophone See the altos in stockYamaha Custom 82Z alto saxophone, YAS-82Z, s/n C74522. This is Yamaha's top of the line professional sax, and the way this plays, it's easy to see why. Although it is marketed as a jazz horn, it is equally at home in any musical style. To me, these play like a souped up Yamaha 62. It has that solid core of sound you find in the best Yamahas, but with updated keywork that feels a bit more sturdy and natural compared to earlier versions.
The sax is in great condition. There is some surface wear from normal use, but it is in great shape overall and in excellent playing condition. It was just serviced by my repairman prior to sale, and the pads seal well. The horn plays effortlessly from low Bb to high F# and will need nothing from the new owner for a long time.
The sax comes in a new Bam Cabine case, which is one of the best cases on the market.
