Yamaha Custom YAS-82Zii Alto Saxophone, Unlacquered, Near Mint
Yamaha Custom YAS-82Zii alto saxophone, s/n F55362. This horn was purchased new in June 2023, so it has seen very little playing time. This is the newest version of the 82Zii, which has Pisoni Pro pads and domed metal resonators. Yamaha only recently started using Pisoni Pro pads. In my opinion, this is a HUGE upgrade, as these pads are the best on the market and will last forever.
Unlacquered Yamaha horns begin their life looking nearly identical to the lacquered version. Over time, the horns will develop their own patina, which can take a couple of years. You can still see some shiny areas on this horn, so it will continue to evolve as it is played.
