Everything seals absolutely perfectly and as you'd expect, the pads are in new condition. There's nothing you'll need to do to this horn for years. This is the follow-up to the famous Yamaha 62R with updated ergonomics. Truly a great horn.
The horn plays very well. Yamaha soprano saxophones have a very good reputation, and this one delivers. The sound is very even from top to bottom. When I play this, the low notes have no gurgle in them. The tone is very complex and dense, especially in the lower register where there is a ton of personality. Really a fun horn to play and beautiful to look at as well!
