This is a Yamaha YAS-62II alto saxophone, serial number 189114. The 62II features an updated octave mechanism and includes the G1 neck—a noticeable upgrade over earlier 62 necks, offering improved response and projection.
The horn was just serviced by my repairman and is playing great. All pads are sealing well, and it comes in its original case.
The Yamaha 62 is Yamaha’s entry-level professional model and has long been known for its exceptional build quality, reliability, and consistency. In its price range, nothing else really compares. It’s an excellent step-up horn for an advancing student, or a dependable all-around instrument for a player who wants something that can do anything with minimal maintenance.
