Yamaha 62 purple logo alto saxophone s/n 39359. Yamaha 62's with the purple label have a fabulous reputation. They have a centered, focused sound that makes them easy to project. The horn feels nimble in response and feel, and is a very fun all-around horn to play.
The sax was just overhauled by its previous owner in 2024 with white Roo pads. The sax is in excellent playing condition as you'd expect with a recent overhaul. My repairman performed a full setup, regulating the pads as needed, and the horn is currently playing very well. Low Bb to high F speak easily and the response is great.
