Yamaha YSS-62R soprano saxophone, s/n 10264. The 62R is highly valued for its warm, nuanced tone, exceptional ergonomics, and superb intonation. This sax has a beautiful rich, complex sound. The one-piece body ensures maximum resonance. Additionally, the curved neck design allows the weight of the horn to rest on the strap hook, reducing the strain on your arm while trying to hold it up. I’m a big fan of these horns, and it’s easy to see why they retain their value and continue to grow in demand.
My repairman just serviced the sax, replacing three pads, and the neck cork. He adjusted the remaining pads so that the horn plays exceptionally well in all registers. The sax comes in the original case.
